ABOUT MANAF ALQAHTANI
I am a Consultant Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiologist at BDF Hospital, where I have been providing optimal care for our military populations and collaborating with other specialists and health professionals for over 13 years. I have board certifications from the United States and Canada, and a fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in internal medicine, infectious diseases, and medical microbiology.I have been appointed as chief of medical staff ( Diagnostic) and head of laboratories and infectious diseases services for Royal medical services ( Military hospital/ Cardiac Center/ Academic Hospital and Oncology Center)I am also a Professor at RCSI Bahrain, where I teach and mentor medical students and conduct clinical research projects on various topics related to infectious diseases, epidemiology, and public health. I have published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and served as an editor or reviewer for several prestigious publications. I am a vice president of the Bahrain Medical Society and a member of several professional organizations, such as the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. My mission is to advance the knowledge and practice of infectious diseases and improve the health and well-being of our communities.
