ABOUT K YUGINDRO SINGH
Besides teaching Physics, Astrophysics, General Relativity and Cosmology at the post-graduate level, Prof. K. Yugindro Singh has been an active researcher in the areas of Astrophysics, General Relativity and Cosmology. He is also interested in observational astronomy using small telescope, photometer and spectrograph. He frequently takes up public outreach programmes related to observation of rare astronomical events. Prof. Singh had collaborated research work with the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR); he was a Senior Associate of Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) for a number of years; he has collaborated works in the study of variable stars with eminent astronomers from USA. He was a contributor in the discovery of an ultra-luminous source, ULX (X-8). He is currently an active member of the American Association of Variable Star Observers (AAVSO), Astronomical Society of India (ASI), and Physics Academy of NorthEast (PANE).
