ABOUT OM PRAKASH VYAS

Currently working as Dean (Technology Development) at Govt. of India\'s Centre of Excellence- Allahabad, Prof. Vyas is an internationally acclaimed Professor of IT having worked as Visiting Professor in Germany, France, Italy, Norway and Japan. Prof. Vyas has also shouldered the responsibilities of Allahabad and NayaRaipur for short durations. He heads the Research Group at Allahabad with interest in Data Science, Cyber Security and Process Mining. Associated with since its formative years, he completed two terms as Dean respectively at Allahabad as Dean (R&D)(20••••15) and at Naya Raipur (CG) as Dean (Academic)(20••••17), Assistant Professor during 2002-03 contributing in the formative years of doing M.Tech. in \"Computer Science\" from IIT Kharagpur and Ph.D. in \"Congestion Control and QoS provisioning in ATM Networks\" under joint collaboration of Technical Univ of Kaiserslautern (Germany) and IIT Kharagpur, had worked as Visiting Professor in Italy, France, Germany, Norway and Japan.Prof. Vyas has successfully completed Indo-German Research project with Rostock University-Germany.( 2007-09) & also with TU Kaiserslautern, Germany had long collaborative arrangements (2010-13). Worked with Univ. Paderborn, Germany (20••••18) having successful academic exchange and joint research work.Prof. Vyas has also worked with Inria-Lille, France (2015-17) and with University of Messina (Italy)(20••••22) for academic cooperation with many joint projects and publications including academic mobility.Specialties: Prof. Vyas is enthusiastic teacher and active researcher in the field of Data Science, Software Engineering and Process Science. His current Research interest includes Process Mining, Cyber Security and IoT-Cloud federation. He teaches Object Oriented Software Eng, Business Informatics, Data Mining & Process Mining, and have guided 16 Research Scholars for Ph.D, Dr. Vyas pioneered Computer Sc & I.T. education in the region of Chhattisgarh by successfully establishing the School of Computer Sc at Pt.R.S.University Raipur during 1990\'s and introducing many computer courses in University and affiliated colleges. He has single handedly developed the University\'s Deptt. initially under self financed basis and later succeeded in getting UGC financial support. Prof. Vyas worked with commitment to hone the local talents and provided them research guidance and opportunity to get fully funded overseas training and successful career afterwards in his respective places of working.
