ABOUT MUHAMMAD ASIF RAZA

I am a Professor, researcher, and academic leader with over 20 years of experience in curriculum and academic program development, accreditation and quality assurance, students affairs, and academic administration. I have a PhD from the University of Kassel, Germany, and multiple trainings/ short courses in project management; performance assessment; human resource and office management; Learning to teach Online; Blended Learning: Personalizing Education for Students; Performance Assessment in the Virtual Classroom; and educational administration. Additionally, I have Bachelor degree of Law (LLB) and my legal background provides me with a unique perspective on legal documentation, patents and intellectual property matters, technology and knowledge transfer initiatives, industry-academia collaborative agreements, and development, implementation and compliance with regulations and procedures for research governance framework and academic quality standards. I have had the distinct honor of serving as the Founding Dean for the Faculties of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at two premier institutions of Pakistan: MNS University of Agriculture, Multan, and the University of Layyah. In these roles, I spearheaded the comprehensive establishment of academic frameworks, designed industry-aligned curricula, and oversaw the development of state-of-the-art clinical and research facilities from the ground up to advance veterinary excellence in the region.With an H-index of 31 (citations: 3107), I have established a substantial academic footprint by delivering 37 oral and poster presentations/ Abstracts/ Proceedings in national and international conference. My contributions include the publication of 107 research articles, distributed across journal quartiles: 26 in Q1, 14 in Q2, 23 in Q3, and 16 in Q4. The cumulative impact factor of these publications amounts to approximately 175, reflecting the influence and quality of my research output. Additionally, I have published 8 books and 17 book chapters.I serve as an honorary Adjunct Faculty at Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, a Research Fellow at Health Security Partners (USA), and a Visiting Professor at Universitas Diponegoro, Indonesia. My research focuses on animal health, drug development from plants, epidemiology of public health concerned pathogens, and sustainable livestock production. I have received various awards and honors for my contributions to the field. My mission is to advance the knowledge and to promote the health and well-being of animals and humans in the context of One Health.
