About Dilip Kumar Sharma

Dilip Kumar Sharma is B.E.(CSE), M.Tech.(CSE) & Ph.D (CSE) from Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Dhanbad. He is SM ACM, CSI) & Fellow of IE & IETE.Presently he is working at GLA University, Mathura in the capacity of Dean – International Relations & Academic Collaborations. Also as Professor in Dept of CSE from 27 March 2003 to till now. He facilitated the signing of more than 265 MoUs/Collaborations in the last five years with acclaimed institutions, academia and research centres - Nationally and Internationally along with renowned government agencies, bodies and corporate entities. He provided due guidance and promoted inter-departmental activities through MoUs/Academic Collaborations and ensured proper coordination among the various departments as well as kept track and maintained all records related to MoUs/Academic Collaborations at the University level. He has delivered/chaired more than 160 invited talks/guest lectures and chaired technical sessions at various institutes/conferences, internationally and nationally. His research interests are ML, Data Mining, Information Retrieval. He has guided 10 PhD & 25 MTech Thesis. He worked as PI/Co-PI of three Government funded research projects worth Rupees 37 Lacs. His Google Scholar citations are more than 2300 and H index is 22, & i-10 index is 69. He has edited 09 Books volumes and 01 are in the ongoing stage. He has published more than 255 research papers in International Journals /Conferences of repute indexed in SCI & Scopus databases and participated in 55 International/National conferences. He has one granted patent and five published Indian patents. Also, he provides consultancy services. He has attended 41 short term courses/workshops/seminars organized by various esteemed originations and edited two books and worked as Guest Editor of International Journals of repute. He has organized more than 30 International Conferences and Workshops in the capacity of General Chair etc. He has been conferred with the prestigious Significant Contribution Award by the CSI, in the years 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2017. He is the recipient of U.P. Section 2018 Outstanding Section Volunteer Award presented at the AGM held on Jan19, 2019 at IIT Kanpur. He has visited SriLanka, Belgium, Malta, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Singapore, Nepal, Malaysia, Hong Kong,Macau Indonesia, Dubai in connection with academic pursuits. He is the past Vice-Chairman/Secretary of U P Section.
