As the Director of the School of Architecture at REVA University, I lead the academic, administrative, and strategic initiatives to transform architectural education through a multidisciplinary, future-ready approach grounded in sustainability, innovation, and Indian knowledge systems.Key Responsibilities: • Providing visionary leadership to the School of Architecture, aligning with NEP 2020, COA, and global educational benchmarks • Driving curriculum reforms and outcome-based education (OBE) frameworks with a strong focus on AI integration, digital design, and sustainable practices • Initiating national and international academic collaborations, faculty development programs, and student exchange partnerships • Overseeing faculty recruitment, mentoring, and performance appraisal to build a dynamic academic ecosystem • Leading institutional research, publications, and funded projects in alternative construction technologies, heritage conservation, and bio-based hybrid architecture • Establishing industry-academia linkages and real-world project-based learning through design studios and professional practice • Promoting student innovation through workshops, hackathons, and immersive field visits • Upholding traditional architectural wisdom, including Vasthu principles, while embracing contemporary tools like Rhino-Grasshopper, parametric design, and digital fabricationNotable Initiatives: • Introduced hands-on training in Rapidwall, EPS panels, and stabilized mud block systems • Spearheaded the transformation roadmap for the architecture curriculum, modeled after IIT-Delhi’s progressive academic framework • Led the international MoU with Jade University, Germany, integrating gamified learning and collaborative studio practices • Established platforms for student journalism, design thinking cells, and interdisciplinary research clusters
