I started creating accounting-related content because it was the resource I wished I had. Beginning as an accounting student, I was determined to get ahead of the curve; however, there was one problem. Most of the online media related to accounting focuses on CPA preparation and landing internships, with little to no discussion about what to do during your freshman year as an accounting student. I aspired to fill that gap and help ambitious accounting students early on in their professional journey.Within my first year, I learned the ropes of the accounting recruiting process, I became a volunteer tax preparer, and I secured a tax internship. I had learned what accounting students should be doing early on in their journey, and I sought to educate others on the insights I had learned. I started my TikTok to help early accounting students: despite never having created content before, I was determined to be the resource I never had. Fast forward to today, and I have now amassed a following of over creating over 200 videos related to the accounting recruiting process, tips to get ahead early as an accounting student, and various accounting-related topics.This mission became rewarding to me: not only was I helping other aspiring accounting professionals, but it also enabled me to engage and further contribute to the accounting industry. As I work towards becoming CPA-eligible in 2028 and gain more experience providing tax services, I plan to share my journey and insights on TikTok at every stage in my professional life.
