ABOUT PROBAK KARIM
Probak Karim led the design and implementation of a USAID $72m national level early grade reading project reaching more than 2.5 million lower primary children in Rwanda (20••••20). Previously he has designed highly effective early grade reading programs in more than 8 languages in Asia and Africa benefiting over 5 million children. He has also developed effective early-grade math programs in Bangladesh and West Bengal in India.His accomplishments include designing highly effective early grade reading programs, teacher’s professional development, effective coaching, early grade reading assessment (EGRA) tools, and instructional design in Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, and Rwanda. He has extensive experience in working with both private and public sectors with more than 20 years of experience in the fields of early grade literacy, and mathematics at the lower primary level, positioning him as a global leader and strategist in the area. Probak is a seasoned professional committed to bringing positive and lasting changes to the lives of children through quality education, particularly in low-income countries.
