About Priyavrat S.
I am an experienced Petroleum Engineer and service delivery leader with proven maturity experience in Field Development Planning for unconventional shale reservoirs. I have executed several multi-disciplinary technical consulting projects as a lead completion engineer and improved field production for major and independent oil & gas clients in the US unconventional landscape. My international projects include work with Australia and Argentina based clients. Clients call me when they want to optimize the well spacing, design refrac operations, identify best lateral landing locations and increase recovery factor using the latest technology in challenging and complex subsurface environments. They also call me when they want value added services and want to leverage the power of data and analytics for faster solutions. Assimilating data from various sources and making best use of available geological, geomechanical, petrophysical, production, field data and reservoir data is key to my work and I have demonstrated this expertise across several projects. I have also developed, and continue to develop new products especially geared towards fast-tracking to solution in unconventional reservoirs through the use of machine learning and cloud native database and app infrastructures. I have more than 20 publications at major conferences and journals to my name that are widely cited (350+ citations) in the industry. Additionally, I also have a US patent for improved completion design in shales using low cost methods. I believe in volunteering to keep myself engaged in useful work. I am Vice Chair at the SPE-Gulf Coast Section Board. In this role I try to bring together and put forth the best minds in the industry in front of my fellow oil and gas colleagues from industry and academia. We also provide scholarships to students based on this skills and financial needs. I am a team player who is passionate towards working in an agile, result oriented, compassionate and transparent organization.
