Bioinformatician in an RO1 granted research facility to study RNA Decay and its dysregulation in neurodegeneration in a collaborative and supportive environment.Projects aligned in processing, analysis, and management of next-generation sequencing datasets such as Ribo-Seq and RNA-Seq from short- and long-read sequencing (Illumina and Nanopore)- Developed, optimized and maintained high-throughput RNA-seq pipelines using Snakelike for workflow automation and Singularity for containerization, enabling reproducible and scalable analysis- Executed comprehensive data processing, alignment, and quantification using samtools, BEDTools, custom scripts in Python/R, leading to enhanced genomic feature annotation. Also, used FastQC for checking 5TERA analysis and ribosomeOC for riboseg data- Conducted 5TERA and ribosome profiling across multiple species viz. human, yeast and mouse, facilitating comparative genomic studies. Analyzed and mapped complex multi-omics datasets using STAR, bowtie, HISAT2, and DESeq2, improving the accuracy of genomic and transcriptomic analyses- Working on Demultiplexing barcoded Oxford Nanopore reads with deep CNN, designing a CNN using TensorFlow and Keras, incorporating max-pooling, inception modules and global average pooling.
