ABOUT PRIYANKA HIMATSINGKA

I am an aspiring business communication and finance student who enjoys connecting the dots: be it ideas from different disciplines, people from different teams, or applications from different industries. I have strong communication skills. My passion lies in studying the changes in the stock exchange. I did my schooling at GD Goenka Public School. Studying subjects like Economics, Accounts and Business Studies have made me affirmative about a career in this field. ​Leadership and teamwork are two skills that I have been able to develop well, over the years in school. I have been a part of the school cabinet throughout high school and am the current school captain which has given me a platform to organise various sessions, events, and workshops for students on social and environment-related issues. I have indulged in many co-curricular activities such as volunteering for social service at Sewa Bharti Institute where I teach underprivileged kids. This had a deep impact on me as it provided me with a unique experience of evoking the interests and curiosities within young minds and also enabled me to learn to communicate effectively. I believe in gaining essential skills by going beyond the realm of the prescribed curriculum and I participated in the famous Leadership seminar by Barry O’Brien and the Young Leaders\' Initiative organized by Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi. Further, I was fortunate enough to have qualified for the Prelims of International Business Olympiad organized by Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi. I’m graduating in 2024 from Jesus and Mark college, Delhi University and I’m interested in full-time finance and leadership roles.
