ABOUT PRIYANKA DUBBAKA
I like building systems that think for themselves. Not in a sci-fi sense, in a practical, real-world way where machines can sense, decide, and act without waiting for someone to press a button.I’m Priyanka, an Agentic Digital Twins Researcher who works where AI meets automation and digital twins. My work so far has moved across data engineering, analytics, and interoperability standards like the Asset Administration Shell (AAS); all toward one idea: making industrial data intelligent and useful.Recently, I built an AI-Enhanced Predictive Maintenance System, an end-to-end demonstrator that turns live motor data into autonomous spare-part orders and natural-language insights in under 30 seconds. It combines a Python-based sensor stream, an AAS digital twin, a rule-based AI ordering agent, and a LangChain + Llama-2 LLM-Powered RAG chatbot that answers questions like “Which part has the lowest CO₂ footprint?”.Before that, I worked with DLR\'s Center for Lightweight Production Technology (ZLP) on federated learning for manufacturing data, this distributed data analytics project shaped how I think about AI for cyber-physical systems and data privacy. What drives me isn’t just technology but purpose. I care about sustainability, optimization, and creating systems that work better for everyone. I’m drawn to work that blends AI, automation, and sustainability, and I enjoy the challenge of turning technical complexity into systems that quietly do the right thing.I love working on challenges where data meets people, process, and impact. I enjoy building pipelines, dashboards, digital twins and anything that takes raw complexity and turns it into something clear, usable, and intelligent. Outside of work, I play chess and I like thinking a few moves ahead. I write scripts; because sometimes the best way to understand a system is to try telling its story. Writing scripts, technical docs, or reflections helps me communicate ideas clearly and creatively. It’s not just about code; it’s about crafting the story behind the solution. I observe the small things in everyday life, because good solutions often start with paying attention. I want to build systems that are not only efficient but also human-centered and future-ready.
