ABOUT PRIYANKA PULUGU
An accomplished researcher with extensive expertise in developing a high throughput in vitro 3D model for cancer drug screening, understanding tumor biology, drug resistance mechanism, and therapeutic strategies. Proven record of innovative projects aimed at developing platforms for 3D spheroid generation with 3D printing and nano technology. Have an excellent communication skills and relatively good problem-solving abilities in conducting detailed cellular and molecular analysis, data analysis using specialized software\'s, and documentation of findings. collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary research teams. I have been trained in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biomedical Devices and have a sound knowledge of both fundamental and translational research. Pursued PhD in Biomedical Devices and have a hands-on experience in fabrication of polymer-based material for biomedical applications, 3D printing (Auto-CAD) techniques, physical and chemical characterization of biomaterials, material sterilization, fabrication of align and random polymer-based nanofibers for cancer cell proliferation during metastasis, developed PDMS and polymer-based inserts for co-cultures. Developed 3D-NS platform for high throughput 3D spheroid generation for cancer drug screening. Used techniques, electrospinning, contact angle, universal testing machine, texture analyzer, RT-qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, Cell cytotoxicity assays, Immunocyto chemistry and various cellular assays.keen interest in novel drug delivery systems, 3D Tumor models and mammalian cell culture. Worked on Drug eluting cardiac stents with Biochanin-A (anti-proliferative drug) for drug delivery. Moreover, I am eager to learn more advanced research techniques and expand my knowledge molecular cell biology, product development, translational research and patient derived Ever wondered how we can make cancer research more realistic and impactful? In my PhD thesis, I developed and optimized 3D spheroid models with different cancer cells. These models better mimic the tumor microenvironment, allowing more reproducible studies and testing of anticancer compounds. This work not only provides insights into tumor biology but also opens doors for more reliable preclinical testing for better future.
