SKILLS
ABOUT PRIYANKA J
I began my career in health sciences, trained as a genetic engineer and worked in cancer research in head and neck oncology. That experience shaped how I think about health early on particularly the importance of prevention over cure.Later, in management and consulting environments, I saw a similar pattern emerge in a different form. The way people work, the cultures they operate within, and the leadership they are exposed to have a cumulative impact on Chronic health conditions over time. Chronic stress and unhealthy work practices often build quietly, long before their consequences become visible. Most of us spend nearly a third of our waking lives at work. We work to support our families and build meaningful lives and when work consistently undermines health, the cost extends far beyond the organisation.Organisations can replace roles. Families cannot replace their loved ones. This belief sits at the core of my interest in workplace wellbeing. I am particularly focused on how leadership behaviour, organisational culture, and work design influence workplace wellbeing, and how preventive, evidence-informed approaches can reduce long-term human and societal costs. My background spans health sciences, management consulting, and organisational behaviour, alongside experience in wellbeing initiatives. I am currently deepening my engagement in this space and am open to research collaborations, shadowing opportunities, and roles related to workplace wellbeing.Long term, I aim to contribute to this field through research, organisational practice, and wellbeing-centred leadership. If you’re working in this space, researching it, or simply curious about how workplace impacts employee wellbeing, I’d love to connect and exchange perspectives.
