ABOUT PRIYANKA CHAKRABORTY

My philosophical approach towards life, is respect for the dignity of another human being. My continuous urge of aligning individual goals with the organizational goals without compromising on the fundamental core values, have helped me contribute to the organizations I have worked with in terms of Employee Engagement & wellbeing, Safer Recruitment Practices, HR Policy,Performance Development etc. I have played a key role in developing and sustaining organizational culture that celebrates diversity, gender equality, ownership, collaboration, and a sense of collective responsibility in accomplishing organizations goals. This employee centric approach helped organization build a culture where employees are valued and celebrated, welcomed and appreciated. I have developed policies that deals with equality like Diversity, equity, and inclusion policy (DEI), transgender policy, sexual harassment policy conforming with POSH and have successfully embedded them in the employee handbook. This further led me to analyse the employee demographics and design strategies that strengthened the overall organizational governance. I have extensive experience in onboarding expat staff and supporting them with VISAs, conforming with FRRO regulations, accommodation, and contributing to overall welfare. This includes prioritizing their personal preferences considering the diverse cultures they represent. I have worked with international education sector for more than 7 years which has helped me understand the importance of education in current scenario. Working with International Baccalaureate institutes and being a part of NGOs that deal with the SDGs, Modelling United Nations (MUN), deepened my understanding of human behaviour and their impact on building a sustainable organization and thereby a sustainable society. My role as an HR for more than a decade and as a global citizen nurtured by aptitude with Assessment Processes and development centres that enabled me to influence competency and talent development-based decisions. I design function-based competencies required to gauge the right talent or hire the right potential for a position. My role as a trainer, moderator, and assessor responsible for developing training modules, workshops, assessment centres and capacity building programs in the manufacturing sector has helped the organization in benchmarking employee competency, assess their leadership acumen and contribute to succession planning. In conclusion, I stand apart in my professional area by demonstrating attributes of agility, inquisitiveness & prompt action.
