About Priya Wilson
I am a senior at Florida State University, majoring in Risk Management and Insurance, with plans to graduate in August 2025. I didn’t initially intend to pursue a career in insurance, but after taking an introductory class, I found myself captivated by the field’s dynamic nature and the diverse opportunities it offers. Last summer, I had the chance to intern at Franklin Street, where I was introduced to the brokerage and placement side of the industry. This experience gave me valuable insights into the insurance process, client relationships, and the role of marketing in the industry. In the spring of 2025, I will be joining AssuredPartners as a Marketing Intern, where I hope to expand my knowledge in marketing strategies and further explore how they play a role in insurance. At FSU, I’ve been working to get a well-rounded understanding of the industry, with a special interest in brokerage and placement, as well as managing risks for events. I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned so far to help create fresh, client-focused solutions. As I get closer to graduation, I’m looking forward to using my experiences and passion for the industry to contribute to an organization that’s forward-thinking and always looking for new ways to grow.
