A seasoned legal practitioner with 8 + years of PQE in the technology space. Seconded as the sole legal counsel for Unilever Industries Private Limited (which is the IT procurement entity for the Unilever Group) to handle all legal requirements within the entity which included negotiating contracts, addressing legal queries from internal stakeholders as well as conducting sessions on business integrity, prevention of sexual harassment and data privacy. Worked at UIPL for 2 years during which time I closely worked with the heads of real estate team, procurement team, sales team, human resources, marketing team as well as the business integrity team. I also have about 6 years of experience in working at boutique corporate-commercial law firms wherein I was exposed to general corporate advisory, drafting and negotiating day-to-day contracts as well as managing multiple retainer clients in the technology space. Some of my retainer clients were companies with deep-tech AI products in the ad-tech, fin-tech and med-tech sectors. I have also headed the intellectual property practice at GameChanger Law Advisors and advised on all trade mark and copyright related matters. During my time at HyperVerge Technologies Private Limited, I have helped HyperVerge revamp its employment policies, prepared summaries on legislations such as the RBI KYC Master Directions as well as negotiated their API License Agreement with key clients. I have also conducted due diligences to identify high risk Chinese lenders and loan sharks. Currently, I work as a Manager at KPMG India. The ability to break down complex legal requirements to enable simplified knowledge transfer to non-legal stakeholders is my strength.
