About Priya Patel

I lead impact-focused program design, management, and evaluation initiatives for education nonprofits and both global health agencies and foundations. I consider myself a fixer when it comes to strategy, communications, and events, whether I’m prepping global health leaders for press conferences or managing 20-person event teams for high-stakes convenings.Most recently, I have developed and executed the national strategy and programming for BIPOC Teach For America alumni as a Managing Director of Learning & Development. I have also consulted with Every Mother Counts, managing a partnership with CVS Health to create, launch, and evaluate a first-of-its-kind education resource called Choices in Childbirth. During my previous role at Global Health Strategies (GHS), I led a range of projects that required the ability to quickly develop issue-area expertise, provide strategic counsel to key clients, and establish newpartnerships while expanding existing ones. My successes on these projects were due in large part to my communications and critical thinking skills, dedication to leading and working across teams, and attention to detail. These skills were instrumental in securing over $1 million of new business for GHS, planning events at the UN General Assembly, and successfully securing top-tier media coverage in global outlets such as The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post and Time.com.For me, the through line between my work in education and public health has always been clear. As an early childhood educator in Las Vegas, I worked at a Head Start program where wraparound services played a critical role in my students’ education. Ultimately, public and global health initiatives are only effective with the right education and outreach. I love work which allows me to combine my passion for both sectors.
