About Preeti Priyadarshini
I am a chemical engineering student at the University of Minnesota, minoring in chemistry and astrophysics. I’m passionate about catalysis and reaction engineering, with research experience in the Bhan Lab studying active site behavior and reaction kinetics, and earlier training in organometallic synthesis in the Bailey Lab. I’ve applied these skills in industry through an R&D internship at Bostik and currently work as a Materials Engineering Intern at CommScope. I’m dedicated to a multidisciplinary approach, underpinning my scientific pursuits with a broad yet intricate understanding of both chemical phenomena and the cosmos.Outside the lab, I’m committed to advancing equity in STEM. I’ve grown from Outreach Coordinator to Co-President, and now Advisor for Code the Gap, a student-led nonprofit working to close the diversity gap in STEM education.
