Seasoned ML/AI engineer and technical leader with experience across LLM, Generative images, computer vision, currently building a stealth startup. Previously led Generative AI initiatives at Instacart, where I built the company’s first RAG-based system and launched its AI image platform to enhance catalog intelligence and shopping experiences. Named inventor on 3 granted patents and 30+ pending applications. At Twitter, I worked on conversation ranking to improve engagement, including logged-out recommendations, and built large-scale data pipelines using GCP Dataflow. Spent 5 years at Microsoft driving personalization and language modeling across Bing, Edge, and MSN. Shipped SportsBERT (a domain-specific LM on Hugging Face) and led large-scale topic modeling and interest management efforts for Bing personalization. Spearheaded a team to launch a mental health experience on Bing. Named inventor on 5 granted patents and 10+ additional filings from this work. M.S. from Carnegie Mellon University. Focused on applied ML, NLP, search, and full-stack systems at scale. Member of the American Society for AI and mentor to University of Washington master’s students.
