About Pritha Chakraborty

I engage in interdisciplinary research which aligns my interests with the emerging domain of environmental humanities. I aim to integrate and incorporate psychosocial aspects in the analysis of literary, cultural and religious texts and traditions that underlines mankind\'s relationship with their environment.My focus areas are the wetlands of Bengal, especially the Sunderbans Delta. I am working to underline how cultural narratives and traditions of the Deltaic people represent nature-cultures, which are subsequently formed through a pattern of affect and embodiment.
