About Pritam Ghoshal
I am a PhD candidate and Graduate Research Assistant in the Advanced Dynamics and Mechanics (ADAMS) Lab at Purdue University under Dr. James Gibert. My research focuses on nonlinear dynamics and vibrations, with particular emphasis on understanding the effects of viscoelasticity on bi-stable structures.Through my work, I apply analytical modeling, computational simulation, and experimental methods to investigate complex dynamic behavior in engineered systems. I am especially interested in translating fundamental mechanics research into practical design applications.I am open to collaborating with research groups worldwide working in nonlinear dynamics, vibrations, and smart structures. Additionally, I am actively seeking Summer 2026 R&D internship opportunities in product design and development, where I can contribute my technical expertise to industry-driven innovation.
