ABOUT PRITAM BANERJEE

Data is powerful — but only when we know how to ask the right questions.I am an Assistant Professor of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence who enjoys turning complex ideas in AI and data into concepts that students and professionals can actually understand and apply. My work sits at the intersection of teaching, research, and real-world data problem solving.Currently, I teach subjects such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Python Programming, Database Management Systems (DBMS), SQL, and Power BI across programs including BCA and B.Sc. Data Science. I also serve as the Batch Coordinator for the 1st Year B.Sc. Data Science program, where I mentor students as they begin their journey in the rapidly evolving world of data and AI.My academic interests revolve around Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Applied AI. I am particularly interested in exploring how intelligent systems can analyze complex data, uncover patterns, and support better decision-making. Alongside teaching, I am actively exploring research opportunities in AI and data-driven systems.Before entering academia, I worked as a Data Analyst Intern where I contributed to a Software Asset Management (SAM) project and worked with data intelligence tools. This experience strengthened my practical understanding of how data science operates in real business environments.Technically, I work with Python, SQL, Power BI, and Excel for data analysis, machine learning, and visualization. I also enjoy experimenting with NLP models, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.Beyond the classroom, I am passionate about mentoring students, discussing emerging AI trends, and exploring innovative research ideas in the AI–ML space.If you are interested in AI research, data science collaboration, or meaningful conversations about the future of data-driven technology, feel free to connect.
