About Priscilla Luong
Priscilla Luong has 20 years of combined experience in corporate communications, public relations in an agency setting, and television news. She joined San Francisco Health Plan (SFHP) in April 2023 as Communications Manager in the Marketing & Communications Department before transitioning to the Office of the CEO as Public Affairs Manager in March 2024. Before joining SFHP, Priscilla was Senior External Communications Specialist at El Camino Health, managing media relations and social media for the enterprise. She helped secure key media placements on Good Morning America, CNN, USA Today, and U.S. News & World Report. She was previously at CommPac, a strategic communications firm in Honolulu, HI where she served as member of the Emerging Leaders Committee for IPREX, a global partnership of independent communication firms. Some of her projects include All Nippon Airways (ANA) A380 FLYING HONU launch in Honolulu. ANA’s global campaign earned MarCom’s 2019 Platinum Award for Strategic Communications/Public Relations, which is the international association’s highest honor. Prior to working in strategic communications and public affairs, Priscilla spent 10 years on-air in television news. She worked as an anchor and reporter at KITV in Honolulu, HI, CBS-58 in Milwaukee, WI, FOX-25 in Oklahoma City, OK, and KTAB, the CBS-affiliate in Abilene, TX. At age 25, she earned an Emmy nomination for a special report she shot herself in Vietnam on the 35th Anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, making her one of the youngest nominees that year. By 28, she was the youngest person to be honored by the Asian American Journalists Association as national mentor of the year and the only Vietnamese American weekday evening anchor in a major television news market. Before working on-air full-time, she interned at KTVU in Oakland, CA and BBC in Bristol, UK. Priscilla went to the UC Davis and speaks both Vietnamese and Spanish.
