ABOUT PRISCILLA KHADEMI KALANTARI

I\'m finally back at what I do best and enjoy the most, helping people. As a therapist, my goal is to help others overcome obstacles to their happiness and well-being, and to help couples and families function better as individuals and as a unit.The tools I use are cognitive behavioral techniques which teach clients to change their unhelpful ways of thinking and to teach coping skills when they find themselves in difficult situations. Like my Pastor, Rick Warren always says, we have to change our \"stinkin thinkin\" in order to \"renew our minds\" and have peace.My experience includes working with people suffering from grief and loss, abuse and trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, and couples and families needing help with rebuilding their relationships. My professional highlights include the following, Managed 3 caseworkers, ensuring weekly and monthly production goals were met. Maintained a caseload of 50 at-risk children, developed treatment plans, created goals to be achieved, and monitored their progress. Facilitated progress meetings with parents, caseworkers, and teachers for 16 Head Start schools. Acted as liaison for various non-profit agencies in the community that work with at-risk children. Certified foster parent for 2 years, provided stable home for 3 foster children ages 2-16.
