As Program office, I am working at the intersection of gender equity, adolescent well-being, and government school system strengthening. My core responsibilities revolve around planning, training, and implementing key national flagship initiatives, with a strong focus on the School Health and Wellness Programme (SHWP) and Gender-Transformative Education in rural Jharkhand.Responsibilities & Contributions:Implementation of SHWP in Government Schools:Successfully led the rollout of the School Health and Wellness Programme, a Government of India initiative under Ayushman Bharat. Coordinated with education and health departments to train and mentor teachers (Health & Wellness Ambassadors) to conduct weekly thematic sessions on adolescent health, mental well-being, nutrition, hygiene, gender sensitivity, and life skills.Capacity Building & Training Facilitation:Facilitated training modules for teachers, school management committees (SMCs), and community influencers. Ensured contextual relevance with a gender and rights-based approach.Stakeholder Engagement & System Strengthening:Built strong partnerships with District Education Offices, Health Departments, CRPs/BRPs, and local governance bodies. Supported data-driven planning, monitoring visits, and advocacy for integrated action at the block and district levels.Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting:Maintained field-level documentation, case stories, training reports, and program dashboards. Regularly contributed to evidence generation to inform scale-up and policy-level dialogues.
