1) Collaborate with principal investigators, research coordinators, sponsors, subjects, and clinicians to support in vivo gene therapy research by assisting in study protocols and data collection. 2) Collect data on disease efficacy to build a biorepository to support future research into biological basics of long-term safety and effectiveness.3) Collect blood/plasma samples, peripheral blood mononuclear cells, tissue and tumor biopsies, and cerebrospinal fluids from participants while adhering to institutional and federal regulations to maintain Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Subject Protection (HSP) to advance clinical trials and gene therapy.4) Attend one-on-ones, team meetings, and pre-clinical protocol review to provide input and optimize research quality and workflow.

I grew up as a child rights activist, beginning at age 11, and co-led over thousands of Liberian children as 1st Deputy Speaker of the Liberia National Children’s Parliament. As a student advocate, I was also selected among my fellow students to deliver the Peace address on behalf of the then UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in celebration of World Peace Day. I also graduated with high honors from Swarthmore College with a special major in medical anthropology and a minor in biology on the pre-health track. I am skilled at using data analytics techniques and tools like RStudio, SQL, Tableau, and ArcGIS Pro to make decisions and solve public health problems. I’m excited about the social and biological implications of healthcare and anything else that drives change and helps marginalized and underrepresented people. A true fan of risk taking and making things happen when no one would have barely imagined. I like survival stories that can instill confidence in the listener that there’s still someone who can surf the ocean’s depth for a redefining moment.
