Paul is a senior executive and security operations expert with extensive experience setting strategic vision and executing multibillion-dollar national and global security policies and programs for the U.S. government. As a trusted advisor, he employs thoughtful risk analysis, forward-looking strategies, and threat mitigation to protect assets and achieve long-term success. Known for his decisive leadership acumen, Paul cultivates high-performing teams through a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.Paul built a foundation in policy as a legislative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives before joining the diplomatic security team in the U.S. Department of State. This move launched a lifelong career safeguarding America’s interests at home and abroad. Having served in embassies and consulates around the world, Paul has developed a vast network among law enforcement and international security communities. This experience has given him unique insights to guide private and public sector leaders in translating intelligence into strategic safeguards for their interests and assets. Today, Paul leads the Diplomatic Security Service, one of America’s largest law enforcement organization, overseeing thousands of personnel and managing critical national security priorities around the world. A recognized steward of public trust and national security, Paul is a regular speaker and presenter on security and risk management themes.Key Accomplishments: • Direct the Diplomatic Security Service, implementing and evaluating critical security programs while advancing U.S. foreign policy objectives and safeguarding vital national security interests.• Led the crisis management and evacuation plan of tens of thousands of refugees in crisis while serving as the senior Regional Security Officer in Germany, coordinating efforts across multiple U.S. agencies and security partners. • Revamped the marketing strategy for a global program that dramatically increased counterterrorism leads resulting in the disruption of thousands of imminent threats.• Created information sharing platform for U.S. businesses following invasion of Ukraine, enhancing protection of people, physical assets, and investments.• Awarded the U.S. Presidential Rank Award in 2023 for outstanding impact in the fields of foreign affairs, public diplomacy, and international trade and development.
