   As the VP Engineering ( & Maintenance), my role involves the management of the 145 Org, the CAMO Org and the Training 147 Org. I have initiated some changes with regards to : Maintenance Planning: Increased the frequency of the A check, thus saving an A check, every year. Re-set the C check work scope to reduce 1 Day for a 4 days 1C check, with associated costs saving and better aircraft availability for network operations. Technical Services : Created a better management review of the ADs and SBs, to control overruns and have effective cost control on the non-mandatory SBs. Initiated with the team, proactive maintenance on repetitive fleet defects, thus saving at least 3 AOGs, before they could happen. QA System : Reviewed and had revised the current Technical log book, to be in compliance with the regulations. Improved the audit process to have more tangible audit findings Introduced the concept of error capturing mechanism and documentation revised to be in line with the regulations and industry practises. MCC: Had MCC report amended to graphically reflect the delays better, with the figures displayed to have an immediate understanding the TDRs and steps required to achieve the same. Line Maintenance : Initiated the review of tooling required and availability checked and the gap addressed. Driving better accountability of delays, with measures been taken to prevent reoccurrences. People Management: Had periodic meetings with the E and M team, to motivate and guide. Worked with HR, to have the salary disparity regularised for about 200 staff members, thus addressing a long standing issue with the team. Have improved communications with the middle management, to have a better visibility of the progress made and the work still needed to achieve better. Digitisation: Have intiated the e Tech Log project and supported the digitisation of authorisations, to have a better control.
