With the opening up of national / asian highways, economic activity has been significantly increased or likely to be increased over time. On the other hand, entrepreneurial spirit is at all time high. Many schemes and incentives are also for grap. These and many other factors propel the growth of industries. Machineries will play a pivotal role in achieving the dream of entrepreneurs. The demand of machineries has largely been met by manufacturing hubs like gaziabad, Coimbatore and Ambala. Simultaneously low cost machineries from china are also flooding the market. However, either of these are met with challenges in one way or other. Distance is at our disadvantage. Not only it takes long time to reach in Manipur but also costly. Maintenance and services are also disappointing. By developing Manipur as a manufacturing hub, these challenges can be mitigated.
