I am currently responsible for managing the Gateways of India with a team of 1040+ employees handling 12 million shipments per annum.I have worked in multiple locations within the country with people of diverse culture/language. I made progression in my career by managing operations of increasing scale and complexity. I have led many critical transitions like implementation of EDI for Customs Clearance and have experience in setting up service centres as part of footprint expansion. The continued focus on quality of operations and compliance to processes had resulted in the facilities being certified for ISO & other internal audits. I have also worked in simplifying and automating activities using RPA to reduce the effort and improve productivity.Noteworthy: Developed the DHLE India’s largest terminal at Banglore airport, opened in Mar 2021. Implemented a comprehensive COVID 19 contingency plan to sustain the business activities. Led a team to Indonesia to understand and transfer BDP in Gateway facility design, in 2019. Successful transition of EXIM Clearance from manual to EDI in 2019-20 and 2017, respectively. Smooth transition of EXIM processes in line with the new Goods & Services Tax (GST) regime in 2017. Operationalized the New Express Export Terminal for DHL at Delhi airport in 2017. Smooth transition of Customs Entry submission from Easy Clear to DCE (DHL Clearance Engine) in 2016. Successful implementation of KYC norms of Indian Customs in 2015. Received prestigious “Employee of the Year” award for the year 2012. Developed business process & implemented a new in-house application to monitor and improve productivity and performance of Clearance team in 2009. Enhance the capability & capacity of existing Gateways Forecast volume, resource requirement and capacity planning.
