Currently working under the Summer Research Fellowship Program (SRFP) in CSIR NML, my project focuses on:\"Role of Initial Microstructure on Intercritical Annealing Response of Medium Manganese Steel.\"Key responsibilities include:Investigating how different initial microstructures affect phase transformation, austenite stability, and mechanical properties during intercritical annealing.Utilizing techniques such as optical microscopy, SEM, and XRD to analyze microstructural evolution.Aiming to optimize strength–ductility balance in medium Mn steels for advanced structural applications.Interpreting thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of Mn and C partitioning behavior.This hands-on experience is enhancing my understanding of physical metallurgy, thermomechanical processing, and alloy design.
