About Preethika Yetukuri
It might surprise you that the equations behind climate models, 🤖 self-driving cars, and social media algorithms are all rooted in the same mathematical foundations. This is what excites me: math as the bridge between theory and practice, shaping the way technology, policy, and communities evolve.I am a fourth-year Honors Mathematical Sciences student at Clemson University, and I have been fortunate to explore this bridge through several roles:Leadership: Director of Quality Management @ CEDC, where I support systems strengthening student-led innovation projects.Research: Digital Engineering Researcher with VIPR-GS, where I explore autonomous vehicle and systems modeling.AI and Business Innovation: Career Innovation Lab, where I work with generative AI to enhance career development initiatives and consult with small businesses.Sustainable Development Modeling: Departmental Honors Research that applies math and data to study global challenges. At my core, I am curious about how data, AI, and policy intersect, and I enjoy exploring how these connections can help us address complex challenges in new ways. I\'m always open to connecting with people interested in AI, policy, or data-driven innovation 🤝.
Experience
Teach for America Ignite Fellowship
Dec 2025 — Present
As a Teach For America Ignite Fellow, I deliver targeted virtual literacy instruction to elementary school students, supporting the development of foundational reading and comprehension skills in a small-group setting. I design and implement structured lessons focused on key analytical reading concepts, including identifying central messages, cause-and-effect relationships, point of view, comparing and contrasting texts, and describing connections within and across stories.I use student performance and engagement to adapt instruction and tailor learning strategies, ensuring accessibility for diverse learners. I also develop interactive materials and activities that make complex concepts engaging and understandable, helping students build both confidence and critical thinking skills. This experience has strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, apply structured problem-solving in real time, and contribute to educational equity through personalized, impact-driven instruction.
