About Preetha Thanunathan
I am an undergraduate at the University of Oklahoma, working towards a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. It was the Columbus shuttle launch that paved the way for my passion for space and aeronautical engineering. I have always been passionate about helping women from marginalized communities in STEM specifically pursuing aerospace engineering navigate through this degree and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to my fellow peers in aerospace engineering. In my time at the University at Oklahoma, I’ve interacted and involved myself in various organizations not only within my major but also outside, such as founding a cultural dance team with my college peers, volunteering in various events such as Soonerthon, Circle K International and engaging myself in the Sooner Rocket Team, Sooner Racing Team and Hackahoma. I built on various skills such as software designing through CAD, team building, group work, and deducing technical solutions to engineering problems. I am passionate about my major and am a willing candidate to learn and grow in this field.
