About Preetesh Purohit

As the professor-in-charge of the Industry-Academia Collaboration Cell (IAC Cell) of the CSE department at Medi-Caps University, I have been working to promote closer interaction between our university and the IT & ITES industry of national and international repute. I have over 25 years of experience in teaching, research, and software development, with a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from IET, DAVV, Indore. My mission is to find out the gap between the needs of the industry and the end product of the university, and to act as the bridge between the industry, the real world, and the university. I facilitate the presence of experts from the industries in the university campus, where they interact with the students and share the role of recent technologies that have been incorporated in their industry. I also enable the students to participate in internships, projects, and placements with the industry partners. My core competencies are software development and project management, C, C++, Java, Python and MySQL, and I have multiple certifications in AI, ML, Data science and Analytics.

   The Industry-Academia Collaboration Cell (IAC Cell) of CSE department has been functioning in our university actively to promote closer interaction between our university and with the institution and the industry of national and international repute. The purpose of the cell is to find out the gap between the need of the IT & ITES industry and the end product of the university. The cell acts as the bridge between the industry, the real world and the university. The experts from the neighbouring industries will mark their presence in the university campus, interact with the students and also tell role of recent technology that had been incorporated in their industry during the session. The projects and the products developed by the students will also be shared with the resource person. The highlights of the research activities in our university will be highlighted. The outcome of the session such as industrial training, value-added course, and industrial visit for students/faculties will be discussed and will be circulated among the faculties. MoUs will also be signed based on the interest expressed by the Industrial person.
