About Preetam Chayan Chatterjee
I am a Computational Geometry Engineer in the Pune R&D division at Align Technology. I also passionately explore the latest research trends on radiance fields, novel view synthesis, and 3D scene understanding. Earlier, I was a research scholar in the Computer Science & Engineering department at IIT Kharagpur. My doctoral dissertation explored various aspects of digital geometry, mainly focusing on extracting curvature from voxel surfaces. It also explored the generation of error-bounded low-poly meshes from digital surfaces using curvature-adaptive Voronoi tessellation. In 2D, it explored both curvature-free and curvature-adaptive error-bounded vectorization techniques for digital curves.
