As head of Disaster Recovery Cloud Services (aka DRaaS) am driving Oracle’s mission to succeed in DRaaS to gain competitive advantage in the cloud landscape. My primary focus areas includes high availability, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions for OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure). Built the DRaaS group from scratch with a mission to protect Oracle cloud deployments from variety of data center outages which impacts the entire Oracle stack. DRaaS (Full Stack DR Service) brings the capabilities of AWS elastic DR and Azure Site Recovery to OCI Head of development and operations of a multi-divisional, geographically distributed organization comprising Developers, Product Managers, DevOps, QA, Operations and SREs. Launched the marquee DR product “Site Guard for Oracle PCA” (Private Cloud Appliance) which remarkably increased the product revenue, driving down operation costs and scripted several customer successes. Successfully launched new line of products to market, building new business stream and significantly increasing revenue in annual product licensing, consulting, engineered systems sales and support revenues. Lead the Oracle Site Guard group and architected end-to-end disaster recovery solutions for more than 500 Oracle customers running their SaaS and PaaS workloads on Oracle Cloud. Evangelized complex initiatives to build recovery solutions for Oracle’s C@C (Cloud at customer) to help big banks, top retailers, gov customers to accelerate product uptake and help them succeed in their Oracle cloud journey. Championed the entire development efforts right from conceptualization to design and delivered a highly matured comprehensive DR management solution. Successfully lead efforts to build massively scalable mission critical distributed recovery solutions which significantly reduced the recovery time/point objectives of Oracle cloud deployments
