There are a lot of costs (incl. projects) within Unilever which are international in nature (global and regional cost). These costs benefit multiple countries (without being individual and specific to those countries) rather than the original country initially incurring the cost. An allocation of these based on different allocation drivers (mainly turnover) across multiple countries is used to reflect fair share and ensure optimal tax deductibility. FCCR process aggregates and allocates these costs between the Countries, from Countries to Parent & Holding (P&H) and from P&H to Countries. The process of running the allocation is executed centrally by FCCR Team by using the FCCR Allocation Engine.Key activities summary:• Support in end to end management of Financial Central Cost Recovery (FCCR) process across Unilever• Subject matter expertise in Indirects accounting (both financial and management) accounting operations• Establishing good network with Stakeholders in Group Controllers Department, country finance teams, tax team and master data team• Excellent service deliveryFCCR Accounting and Reporting• Implemented and roll of new FCCR process across Unilever. This is a key project for the Unilever Finance team.• Acting as a gatekeeper and ensure that right costs are accounted under ICCs (International Cost Centres) and GLCs (Global Local Cost Centres) at right place• Ensure that only international costs are charged to Corporate Centres• Ensure the integrity of allocation process (both Financial and Statistical)• Acted as subject matter expert in the new FCCR policy guidelines• Ensure accuracy of outputs of new IT tool (allocation engine)• Analyse trends in costs, answer questions from stakeholders, if any issues crop up follow up with the respective teams for resolution• Work on continuous improvement projects and achieve efficiencies
