   Axial Aero is a deep-tech start-up in the Aerospace & Defence domain. The company is founded by 2 ex-NDA fighter pilots, who later moved onto commercial aviation and data science and electronics engineer from NIT (REC). The founders have 20+ years\' experience each in their respective domains and have held critical leadership positions in both government and commercial corporations.Between them they have flying hours, Level-D simulator instructional hours, 13 patent applications (5 granted), 9 start-ups, several publications, education and work experience in more than a dozen countries across 4 continents.Axial Aero\'s first 6-DOF Level-X flight simulator prototype is 90% built and is perfectly timed to capture the $1b USD opportunities arising from Make In India and $15b USD opportunity in global markets. The 360-degree motion around all 3 axes makes the Axial Aero simulator perfect for training for Spatial Disorientation and Upset Recovery, which contribute between 20%-30% of fatal air accidents both in Civil and Military aviation.The low-cost and low-weight simulator is also a great training aid for the future multi-trillion USD eVTOL Urban Air Mobility market (UAM).Subsets of this deep tech, such as terrain generation, control loading systems, gaming, etc. create more opportunities of innovation.Technological innovations done so far and few more planned (likely to be patented), domain expertise required, and first mover advantages are expected to create significant barriers of entry to others in this space.
