Developing a robust, all-weather computer vision system to monitor and track elephant herds in real-time for the Royal Government of Bhutan, aiming to mitigate human-elephant conflict.Engineering a deep learning pipeline designed for high-accuracy object detection and tracking across challenging, low-visibility conditions including heavy rain, dense fog, and night-time environments — a problem set directly comparable to autonomous vehicle perception systems.Implementing and fine-tuning state-of-the-art Detection Transformer (DETR) models using the Hugging Face Transformers library, PyTorch, and OpenCV for high-precision object detection in cluttered scenes.Tasked with developing analytical modules to extract actionable insights from CCTV footage, such as herd size estimation, movement patterns, and proximity to human settlements.
