About Pratosh Patankar
I am an electrical engineer working at the intersection of power systems, renewable energy integration, and advanced control, with a strong focus on turning research into real world grid solutions.What drives me is the challenge of making modern power systems smarter, more reliable, and ready for high penetration of renewables and electric vehicles. From working on converter control for railway power systems to developing machine learning based EV charging strategies and grid compliant inverter controls, I enjoy digging into complex problems and building solutions that actually scale. I am especially motivated by work that combines power electronics, control systems, real time simulation, and data driven decision making to support grid modernization and energy transition.I want to grow as a power systems and control engineer who contributes to next generation grids across transmission, distribution, rail, and renewable integration domains. My goal is to work on impactful R&D and industrial projects involving power electronics, grid forming and grid following converters, EMT simulation, hardware in the loop testing, and energy markets, while continuing to collaborate with global teams. I am always keen to learn, build, and take ownership of problems that shape the future of clean and resilient energy systems.
