I promise I won’t take up too much of your time!I’m Pratima Bauri, born and brought up in Dhanbad, Jharkhand—the “Coal Capital of India.” After navigating my school years, I decided to pursue a degree in commerce (let’s be honest, science was never my cup of tea, and humanities? Not quite my jam!). During my graduation in B.Com with a specialization in Accounts, I discovered my true passion for Human Resources. I realized that HR is not merely about making rangoli or gossiping over tea; it’s about being the backbone of a company. After all, HR professionals manage the greatest asset of any organization—its employees. There is so much to explore in HR, as no company can thrive without happy, engaged, and productive team members!I began my career as a Recruitment Coordinator Intern at Bitgo, where I gained valuable hands-on experience in tech and non-tech recruitment. Collaborating with senior recruiters, I learned how to identify and attract top talent, assess candidates’ skills, and ensure cultural fit. I am genuinely grateful for my mentor and the entire team; their support and guidance were instrumental in helping me navigate the complexities of the corporate world.Upon completing my MBA, I got an opportunity to join Glider AI as an HR Intern. In this role, I took on various HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives. I’m incredibly thankful for the supportive team that believed in me and guided me throughout my journey. Their encouragement ultimately led to my promotion to HR Executive. In this position, I manage recruitment processes, oversee HR operations, and continuously seeking to develop new skills. Oops, I guess I took a little longer than planned!
