ABOUT PRATHEEK MANDALAPU

I grew up pursuing professional tennis for over 10 years. I lived across the world and embraced the rigorous demand of high level athletics. Due to a series of injuries, I could no longer continue that journey and I pivoted my focus to my educational goals. As a Data Science and Business major, I see myself pursuing roles that emphasize the intersection of my two disciplines and using my skills in data science to support my aspirations in business. Although I no longer play at a professional level, I realized that I could apply core skills I gained from tennis to any scenario. I am confident in my discipline, adaptability, ambition, and desire to reach my objectives whether it\'s on the court or in a classroom. I am very interested in pursuing a career in consulting and I feel that both my classroom and tennis education will leave me well prepared to pursue this goal.From a practical side, I’ve had experience- In private equity consulting conducting SME interviews, competitive analyses, and creating slides- Working on strategic engagements in industries ranging from vehicle transportation logistics, cybersecurity, packaged protein consumables, and sustainable e-commerce- Designing database systems and applications- Pursuing product development- Developing websitesI look forward to applying the knowledge and skills from both sides of my major to new opportunities.
