Client: Siemens Energy • Led the Alert Generation & Anomaly Detection vertical for monitoring mission-critical power plant systems at Siemens Energy. • Re-architected the legacy ingestion pipeline that previously parsed and indexed each log line as a separate Elasticsearch document, causing high index volume and performance overhead. • Designed and implemented a Logstash-based ingestion architecture that aggregates entire day-level logs into a single structured document using array-based storage, dramatically reducing data fragmentation. • Built custom Python-based parsing and enrichment logic to transform raw logs into optimized, analytics-friendly schemas. • Developed custom ElastAlert rules to consume the new aggregated data model, enabling efficient anomaly detection on structured log arrays.• Owned end-to-end system design decisions, from ingestion strategy to alert consumption and production stability.
