Led the design and development of NVMe In-Band Authentication functionality for ONTAP’s NVMe-oF target. Collaborated with SUSE’s NVMe storage team to ensure interoperability with Linux NVMe hosts. Led the design and development of NVMe/TCP data transport stack for ONTAP’s NVMe-oF target. Worked with functional groups within and external to NetApp to develop the industry’s first high performing, cloud-enabled and enterprise ready NVMe/TCP target stack. Designed and developed industry’s first NVMe-oF Target with Fibre Channel transport protocol stack in ONTAP. Collaborated with Broadcom’s Fibre Channel driver team to build a NVMe/FC transport driver, leveraged Intel’s open source SPDK NVMe stack, and integrated with WAFL file system to build NetApp’s fastest data access protocol. Prototyped and developed a NVMe over RDMA solution for ONTAP using Intel’s open source SPDK framework. This prototype served as a proof of concept and the ground work for ONTAP’s NVMe-oF target solution. Lead new feature development and sustenance of the NVMe/FC and NVMe/TCP transport stacks in ONTAP. Support the sustenance of Kernel Cluster Services component in ONTAP. Re-engineered a block database layer used for storing SCSI Persistent Reservations to leverage atomicity properties provided by WAFL file system. Supported new feature development and sustenance of SAN Logical Unit object management layer in ONTAP.
