About Prashant Gupta

I\'m a passionate embedded systems engineer with a focus on firmware development. I\'ve had the pleasure to work on various interesting and challenging projects with 5g ORAN, Space, GNSS, automotive, Energy, Solar, industrial and marine applications. I\'m experienced with a wide range of the ARM family of micro-controllers and multi core processors ( NXP, STM32, Nvidia Tegra, Freescale, etc.) and in programming with the bare-metal assembly, C and C++, embedded Linux (Kernel and uboot) and Qt development. I\'m able to drive a project end-to-end starting from requirements, software configuration management, implementing and complying to software development methodologies, writing bootloaders, firmware development, debugging and testing up to customer delivery and acceptance. I Developed Single board computer (SCB)/ Edge computing devices using iMX.6/ IMX8 or other SOC\'s in market. Can work on an ARM /RISC-V type of SOC. I also have a good understanding of electronics design and layout. Protocols: CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, PCIE, MIPI, USB, OneWire, GSM (AT), GPS, etc. Stacks: CANopen, J1939, UWB, LoRaWAN, BlueZ, BLE, LwIP, ofono, modbus, etc. Software: Buildroot, Yocto, GIT, FreeRTOS, GNU Toolchain, PC-Lint Preferred IDEs: Eclipse & Visual Studio (based) Summery 12+ years of good experience in Embedded Software Development. Experience in C/C++ Coding. Experience in Various Embedded Project including in Radio Front-end development and Open-RAN 5G Development. Experience in Design, Development and Implementation of Device drivers, and Applications on Linux platform. Good understanding and experience in Linux Kernel modules. Worked at various precise timing application, where synchronization is very import like GNSS/UWB. Worked on AR/VR products to solve changes in XR glasses. Worked on mostly all serve and parallel protocols. Like SPI, QSPI, I2C, UART, PCIE, Ethernet, RS485/Modbus. Independently work on various project from Idea to production phase as per Specification designed. Direct involvement with Customers along with Management level discussions.
