About Prashant Nair

Prashant Nair is a Senior Principal, Software Engineer at Amtrak. He has been instrumental in cutting edge projects using Internet of Things (IoT), SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and Ariba on Demand. Prior to joining Amtrak as an employee, he was a Director at Soch Process, a company he co-founded to look at the technological needs in the Washington DC area. His clients included Amtrak where he was the Chief Technical Architect of the Procure to Pay team. The projects included a Ariba on Demand project, Mobile Proof of Delivery project, S/4 HANA initial checks, Sailpoint Identity Governance and MS Azure AD Single Sign-On for SaaS products, Reporting, Moving SAP landscapes from on-premise to AWS, fulfilling the Cybersecurity requirements and digital transformation. He was also advising the director of enterprise architecture at Washington Gas as Solution Architect with regards to SAP HANA/AWS/Azure landscapes.He held a leadership role in CSC (Now DXC) where he was the Senior Principal, Enterprise Architecture (OCIO) directly reporting to the CIO and was responsible for the Financial Transformation project, Resource Management Transformation project and all the multiple multi-billion/million dollar Mergers and Acquisition projects which included IT mergers using SAP, SalesForce, Service Now, Workday, Fieldglass, Reduction of datacenter footprints, Cybersecurity, Governance, Risk and Compliance etc. He was the Global Lead, Application Architecture and Technical Support at AES, managing multiple multi-country greenfield and brownfield SAP Technology projects including the world’s largest Process Integration, the world’s then fourth largest SAP implementation with Oracle 6 node clusters, the first Mobile approval technology for SAP, Migration of SAP from on prem to cloud, SAP HANA implementation, Upgrades and Unicode conversions, Network design modifications using Load Balancers/Firewalls like F5, Coordinating with Cybersecurity requirements, Audit and compliance requirements amongst others. He is also an author on 6 books on Oracle Applications (published in 1997)
