About Prasad Khandekar

Driven by a passion to enhance the quality of education, I have been passionately building teams that appreciate and ensure excellence in all the academic processes resulting in improved accreditation scores and rankings. Having worked in the automation sector for 5 years, I could bring essential business practices and approach to the education sector long back in 1997. I played an instrumental role in getting accreditations in my previous organizations with one program getting five years of accreditation.With the ability of building teams that keep organizational objectives first, I have proved that even tier-II institutions can also achieve impactful graduation and research outcomes. My contributions in bridging gaps in Industry and Academia are noted by industry, and I get invitations to share my thoughts at national level through panel discussions.I was leading a team of 700 at MITWPU and we have already made a significant impact which is evident from our present rankings, be it NIRF or any others. At present I have joined Deccan Education Society, a 139 years old education group to establish its first state private university. As a Vice Chancellor I am building my team to create an ecosystem for knowledge generation.
