About Prarthona Ghosh

I joined PepsiCo Foods in 2023, and led Logistics, Distribution and Transportation for West region. Currently, I am working as GTMS lead and working on Transportation strategy projects for India Foods business. I have 4 years of experience across companies in the FMCG space and 3 years of shop-floor operations experience. I have a PGDM in Supply Chain Specialization from SPJIMR. I also hold a certificate from Michigan State University for Advanced Supply Chain courses.In my previous role, I was the National Demand Planning lead for General Mills India P&L where I have been able to increase forecast accuracy from 75% to 85% in a period of 1.5 years. I was also leading Planning Capability Enhancement Projects like Stat Forecasting Tool implementation and Evaluation of AI/ML forecasting tools. Prior to this, I have handled the Demand & Supply Planning for the “Processed Foods” category in Future Consumers limited, where I have been able to increase demand & supply visibility and reduced SLOB through creating a one-stop dashboard. These roles have helped me gain exposure around setting up processes for planning cycles, anchoring Annual Business plans, developing forecasting tools, hiring & grooming analysts in a frugal environment and have help me hone my skills on data analytics, consensus building and people management.In addition to the above line roles, I have also had the exposure of the Supply Chain planning function from a bird’s-eye view during SAP Integrated Business Planning implementation for an FMCG client at Deloitte Consulting SEA, Malaysia. I have a good understanding of ground level plant operations as well from my 3-year stint at Steel Authority of India where I worked as a Junior Manager for Energy Management. I was responsible for planning and scheduling of fuel supplies and have the experience of managing a 40 member strong team.I enjoy being part of teams that work towards bringing positive changes. I have participated in multiple projects with exposure to the bottom of the pyramid (development of hygiene and sanitation as part of Backward Society Education, WASH, Nepal, mentoring an underprivileged child for a year with exposure to their ways of life) which helped me empathize with them and understand this segment in depth. In addition, I have been a part of multiple high-functioning teams which include the SAIL CEOs’ Corporate Presentation Team, Alumni Committee & VISHWAAS at SPJIMR & College Secretary. I have also been a part of the team which was the national runner up for J&J Quest 2018.
