About Prarthana Mitra
Feminist practitioner mainstreaming gender and justice in the digital rights landscape, centering care and creativity in their 6+ years practice in communications, media, and civil society in South Asia.Currently building out knowledge and communications projects at Point of View, where I anchor The Digital Everyday (a residency on bodies, technologies and justice), and the EU’s Gendered Disinformation project in India (with the Association for Progressive Communications). Also a DRAPAC 2024 Fellow and speaker at Asia-Pacific regional Internet Governance Forum 2024 and UN World Data Forum 2024!In the past, I have led communications, strategy, research and outreach for UNICEF India, The Union, John Snow International, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Participatory Research in Asia, and Doc Society’s Good Pitch and Climate Story Lab programmes. I also write on gender, identity, policy and culture, with bylines in Gaysi, Border Movement, WILD CITY, Qrius, and Gulmohur Quarterly.

Engaged in artistic research around Artificial Intelligence and its role in cultural production, as part of Goethe-Institut (India), Digital Narratives Studio (Hong Kong), and Museum of Art and Photography (Bangalore)\'s Break Change Regenerate residency, with a cohort of 14 Fellows. Creative outcomes will be exhibited in a festival of ideas slated to take place in Mumbai in 2026.
